Jaguar Land Rover brings a full range of products to the Shanghai Auto Show

The 17th Shanghai International Automotive Industry Exhibition was grandly opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center. Jaguar Land Rover China and Chery Jaguar Land Rover teamed up to bring two models to debut in China – Jaguar’s first pure electric running model SUV I-PACE concept car, the latest member of the Range Rover family, the new Range Rover Star, and blockbuster models such as Land Rover’s new generation Discovery, Jaguar XFL and 2018 Jaguar F-PACE to shine at the 6.1 exhibition hall. Through the excellent full range of products, Jaguar and Land Rover brands fully demonstrate forward-looking design concepts, industry-leading technical strength and profound brand connotation, showcasing their new pattern in China. At the press conference, pop singer Amy McDonald sang the finale, completely igniting the passion of this car festival with the song "This is the Life".

The future is upon us, and technology is driving electric innovation

At this year’s auto show, Jaguar’s first pure electric running model SUV I-PACE concept car landed in China for the first time. This pure electric sports car SUV boldly adopts the cockpit forward design and outlines the smooth contour of a sports car. The drag coefficient is as low as 0.29, and the single range can reach 500 kilometers. The interior design not only adopts the most cutting-edge technology, but also uses many high-end materials to set a new benchmark in the field of luxury electric vehicles. Two coaxial permanent magnet motors can output a maximum power of 400 horsepower and a maximum instantaneous torque of 700 Nm. Accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in about 4 seconds, and have the acceleration performance of a sports car. The I-PACE concept car has a very low center of gravity and is equipped with a four-wheel drive system. At the same time, it is equipped with a double wisharm front suspension and an integrated multi-link rear suspension, achieving a perfect balance between driving and handling, resulting in all-weather and all-terrain efficient performance. It is reported that the I-PACE production model will be launched in the Chinese market in 2018, when Chinese consumers will further appreciate the ultimate performance aesthetics of the Jaguar pure electric running model SUV.

Launched in London in March this year, Land Rover’s new Range Rover Star has made its debut in China. At the World Car Awards held during the New York Auto Show that ended on April 12, the Jaguar F-PACE won the 2017 World Car of the Year and the 2017 World Design of the Year. As Jaguar’s first SUV, the F-PACE inherits Jaguar’s performance aesthetic genes and uses intelligent all-aluminum architecture. Coupled with advanced technologies such as the All-Road Adaptive Control System (ASPC) and the Smart Key Bracelet, the F-PACE combines unique design, excellent performance and outstanding practicality.

Although it has not yet been officially launched, the F-PACE 2.0 L model unveiled during the Shanghai Auto Show has been widely praised.
