Unlike traditional "fancy" cruise taxis, the "Shouqi Car-hailing" platform only provides taxi booking services and cannot be used for daily cruises. In addition, compared with the existing special cars on the market, all its vehicles are government-licensed rental and operating vehicles, and the drivers are also regular army troops, which are called "official special cars".

According to the relevant person in charge of the Shouqi Group, the online car-hailing licenses are all Beijing B licenses, which are converted from regular taxis. The first batch of about 500 car rentals will hit the road, reaching 1,000 next month, and it is expected to reach 1,800 by the end of the year. At the same time, it can call a car on behalf of people, pick up and drop off, and provide daily and half-day rental services. WiFi, charger, paper towels and umbrellas are provided in the car.

Due to the higher grade of the rental car, the price charged is also higher than the cruise car. The fee includes three parts, the starting price, the kilometer fee and the service time fee. According to the relevant person in charge of the Shouqi Group, the starting price is 16 yuan, which is different from the starting price of the cruise taxi of 13 yuan for 3 kilometers. The starting price of about 16 yuan for the rental car is the starting price for the car, excluding the number of kilometers. A single kilometer is 2.8 yuan, and the kilometer fee is the whole mileage multiplied by 2.8 yuan. According to the introduction, the driver’s salary is composed of a basic salary of more than 2,000 yuan plus a single commission. It is reported that "Shouqi car-hailing" must be paid through mobile phone software, and the fare will be fully entered into the company’s background in advance. 20% of the fare will be returned to the driver as an income commission, and the remaining 80% will be used as the company’s income. The above-mentioned person in charge said that the total income of about rental car drivers will not be lower than that of traditional taxis.

In addition, car-hailing drivers work differently from traditional cruise taxi drivers. The debate over the legality of taking "private cars" has never stopped since they entered the Chinese market. Even if the private car operators are interviewed, the private car market in Beijing is still operating. The reason is that the Ministry of Transport has praised this new form of taxi service and is formulating management measures on online taxi booking. Xu Kangming believes that at present, there are three main attitudes towards online car rentals in the country. One is to convert from the existing taxi stock to car rentals, the second is to increase the number of car rentals without quantity control, and the third is to increase the number of car rentals.

At present, the number of taxis in Beijing has reached 67,000, and the number of taxis ranks second among cities in the world, which means that Beijing must control the number of taxis and online taxi booking. Therefore, as a legal rental car, "Shouqi" still has some room for growth.

Huang Shaoqing, an associate professor at the Antai School of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, believes that if Shenzhou’s special car and Didi Kuaidi are legalized, Beijing may add some new car rental indicators. If the business operations platform gets fewer indicators and the first car can get new car rental indicators, then the first car has a strong competitive advantage.

If business operations get more indicators, and continue a period of high taxi subsidies, then the operating pressure of Shouqi will increase.
